King Abdulaziz, Einstein, Jack Sparrow, Harry Potter, Batman, and others, were all present when PYP students impersonated the characters of the books they read, in a celebration marking the end of Literacy Month. While the theme of the month this year was ‘discovering Genre through reading’, the goal is to instill a love for reading that starts in school and continues for a life time. The 4 areas to explore were: Poetry, Mystery, Fiction and Biography.
The Director General said that the importance of enhancing skills and nurturing talent cannot be overemphasized.
The event was successfully organized by the Resource Center educators and the Literacy Month Committee. It was attended, and praised, by parents and family members. They wished the PYP well in all upcoming events.
