The King Faisal School emerged after all procedures for launching the Boys' Elementary Section were completed in 1991. It is a non-profit institution and one of the most important academic projects sponsored and developed by the King Faisal Foundation.
The School lies on a beautiful, aesthetically - designed campus in the Diplomatic Quarter. On its fascinating gardens, fourteen building have been erected, and a variety of athletic playfields. All these facilities and buildings have been put together in full harmony that is consistent with the prestige of the Diplomatic Quarter.
General Goals Of The School
King Faisal School was established to accomplish leading educational and academic goals which may be summarized in one phrase "raising generations". This is religion, and loyalty to the King and the nation. It also makes him a real seeker of true knowledge, and prepares him for assuming a leadership role conductive to the development of his society.
To accomplish these goals, the School strives to:
- Uncover, and develop, students' potential talents.
- Develop students' perceptions in the spiritual and cultural domain in the light of Islamic values.
- Enhance leadership skills and self-dependence.
- Develop the sense of curiosity and advance skills of using references and writing reports and research papers.
- Educate students about modern technology and its utilization in comprehending various academic subjects.
- Develop fine traits of character, ideals, and proper conduct.
- Master both Arabic and English in order to be able to pursue college education with facility.
- Prepare the student to get to know his country, and develop his sense of belonging to his nation, history, and civilization.
